這是一門國際政治經濟學的文獻導讀課程,課程的內容是針對國際關係專長的研究生設計。本課程將引導同學接觸後冷戰時期,國際政治經濟學領域三個最主要的研究綱領:美國學派和英國學派,以及包括歐陸學派、南美洲學派與中國學派的其他學派。指定閱讀範圍包括這三個研究綱領範疇內的最具影響力的理論性與概念性著作,研究綱領所涉及的實證主義(positivism)與後實證主義(post-positivism)方法論問題,以及示範性的實證研究與個案研究,特別是將不同研究綱領應用在分析當前最重要的議題(例如全球經濟秩序與及全球化的建構、英國脫歐與大衰退、新興市場國家崛起、和自由秩序的未來等)的著作。 

課程目標
「國際政治經濟學」可以幫助我們從全球的視野、從人類整體歷史發展的制高點來了解:有那些重要的歷史趨勢與結構條件,深刻的主宰我們的命運,塑造我們以及自己週遭社會群體的認同、價值與利益,以及限制他們的行動選擇。也可以幫助我們理解與分析,與自己有切身利害關係的重要事件(例如全球金融危機)的背景與影響,以及影響台灣的經濟與政治前景之重要歷史趨勢及其脈絡。狹義的「國際政治經濟學」主要探討國際經濟活動與國際政治的互動關係,特別是國際經濟秩序的變遷、非安全領域的國際合作、全球治理範疇內政策協調與管理機制的運作,以及國家對外經濟政策的形成。廣義的「國際政治經濟學」則試圖在全球層次上,探討我們身處世界的時代特徵與組成原則、國際社會的秩序建構的條件、過程與變遷,國際社會中主要行動者的特質與結構處境(特別是其社會建構的條件,包括認同的塑造與利益的形成)。並試圖分析所有這些全球層次的結構與行動的相互關聯性,及其背後蘊含的權力與支配關係。本課程將試圖同時涵蓋這兩類知識體系的基本範疇。 
課程要求
課程要求包括三個部分: 第一、課堂報告:輪流在課堂上提出指定文獻閱讀報告; 第二、課堂討論:輪流在課堂上針對指定文獻進行討論;第三、期末報告:繳交一份延伸課程主題的批判性文獻檢閱或研究計畫書。該報告須研讀延伸閱讀讀物,並自行搜尋與閱讀相關主題文獻,以對這些文獻進行全面性的批判分析,或提出有理論或經驗貢獻的研究問題;或更進一步提出一份涵蓋上述批判性文獻檢閱的碩士或博士論文研究計畫書初稿。
第三週上課前,排定全學期擔任輪流報告人與討論人的分工。每週擔任課堂閱讀報告的同學,應該準備簡報檔,並於上課前上傳課程網頁;每週擔任討論人的同學,也應準備討論問題清單,並於上課前上傳至課程網頁;未擔任報告人或討論人的同學,亦須閱讀指定文獻並於課堂上參與討論。期中考試當週,學生確認期末報告的方向;期末考週,繳交期末報告。課堂報告占學期成績百分之三十,課堂討論占百分之二十,期末報告占百分之五十。
